The Iota Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated is a proud brotherhood of men committed to service, leadership, scholarship, and uplift across East Texas.
Rooted in the historic community of Nacogdoches and surrounding areas, Iota Rho stands as more than a chapter. We are a trusted presence, a source of support, and a steady partner in the work of building stronger families, schools, young men, and communities.
Since our founding on June 1, 1963, Iota Rho has carried forward the rich legacy of Omega Psi Phi with honor and purpose. Our work is guided by the Fraternity’s four cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. These principles shape how we serve. They shape how we lead. They shape how we mentor. Most of all, they shape how we show up for the people and communities entrusted to our care.
The Brothers of Iota Rho believe that true brotherhood is not measured only by words, meetings, or traditions. It is measured by impact. It is seen in the young man who is encouraged to keep going. It is seen in the student who receives support for college. It is seen in the family touched by service, the voter empowered through civic engagement, the elder respected, the child mentored, and the community made stronger because Omega men chose to stand in the gap.
We are proud to support Stephen F. Austin State University and the undergraduate Brothers of Omega Beta Chapter. Through that bond, we help strengthen the bridge between seasoned leadership and the next generation of Omega men. We believe the future of Omega is made stronger when graduate Brothers guide, support, and walk beside undergraduate Brothers with wisdom, care, and example.
Across East Texas, our members serve as educators, veterans, public servants, business leaders, faith leaders, mentors, fathers, husbands, professionals, and community advocates. We come from different walks of life, but we are united by a common calling: to serve with excellence, to lead with humility, and to uplift with love.
